Why shouldn’t I just read reviews on the internet?

Our advisors visit these communities regularly and can give current feedback and objective insight into the quality of care, consistency of staffing and quality of leadership. In addition, staffing and ownership changes happen often in this industry and reviews may not give a true picture of the current situation. Let us give you the most up-to-date knowledge to help you make an informed decision.

How does our service work?

We will listen to the needs of the client and family and we will match them with a short list of communities that we feel meet their needs and help facilitate their move toward the best option for their unique situation.

How do we get paid?

We get paid by the communities upon placement. We work with almost every community in the Metro Atlanta area and therefore do not favor one over the others. We tailor our recommendations to what is the best fit for the family.

What are ADL’s?

Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) are the tasks that residents often need some assistance with on a daily basis. They usually include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, walking to meals, transferring in and out of bed, medication management, eating, and any other assistance a resident might need to help them.

What is all-inclusive pricing?

All inclusive pricing means that the apartment rental, the care levels, and medication management are all covered in one price. This is beneficial because the rate doesn’t fluctuate based on increased care needs.

What is included in the senior living price?

Senior living bundles many services into their monthly charge to include meals, activities, housekeeping, transportation, laundry, and most utilities.

What is a community fee?

 A community fee is usually a one time fee that a resident pays upon move-in to help cover the costs of the upkeep of the community. It is a one time fee no matter how long you live in the community and is non-refundable.

Are Personal Care Homes safe?

Personal care homes are regulated by the state just like the larger communities except they are often in smaller homes and have only 3- 24 residents. These smaller homes are perfect for residents who don’t want, like, or need a larger, more active environment. They are also a good option for those who have higher care needs and need more individualized attention. Many personal care home owners are RN’s or have other medical experience and training and provide excellent care. They provide a great alternative to the larger communities.

There are numerous resources available to assist seniors in the Atlanta area and we would love to give you a referral to a trusted provider. We keep an extensive list of preferred providers who have given great service to our clients in the past to include elder law attorneys, home care providers, equipment rental and purchase, movers and move planners, money management, geriatric care managers, and many more!

What is the Veteran Aid and Attendance Pension?

If your loved one served during a war time, then they or their surviving spouse might be eligible for Veteran’s Aid and Attendance benefits. This could be a benefit of up to $2400 per month to spend toward senior housing and care costs. We can refer you to someone for a free consultation to see if you are eligible.
